ACD Vice President James Stolpinski is at left.</td> </tr> </table> The president of the ILA s Atlantic Coast District, Stephen Knott, and more than a dozen other ILA and ACD officers and members from the Port of New York and New Jersey, joined their fellow members from United Marine Division, Local 333, ILA Tugboat workers on a Staten Island picket line yesterday to show support and help to end a two-month old strike against Kosnac Floating Derrick Company. The mid-day rally took place outside Kosnac s headquarters on Richmond Avenue in Staten Island. <br /><br /> Union members from UMD, Local 333 have been protesting manning cuts to tugboat crews that would put workers in life-threatening jeopardy. Each day, beginning at 7 a.m., these workers have walked the picket line hoping to draw public attention to Kosnac s attempts to circumvent worker safety for the sake of profit. <br /><br /> On Monday, these workers enjoyed powerful reinforcements from their parent union, the International Longshoremen s Association, AFL-CIO. In addition to ACD President Knott, a number of other ILA officers and members joined Local 333 on the picket line including, Vincent Cuozzo, Ron Capri, Sam Paone, Nunzio LaGrasso, Joe Pollio, James Stolpinski, Frank Agusta, Andrew Marano, August Spagnuolo, James Cocchia, John Cuozzo, Mary Ann Gillespie, Mary Gima and Espe Tablan. <br /><br /> Michael Riordan, delegate from UMD, Local 333, led his delegation of striking workers, including George Brill, James Beatty, Kenny O Rourke, Tom Cheney and Chris Donadio. <br /><br /> The leadership of UMD, Local 333 is hopeful this support from their parent union will motivate Kosnac to rethink its negotiating strategy and abandon manning cuts. It was in late summer that Kosnac demanded Local 333, UMD agree to manning cuts that  place our members in grave danger, said William Harrigan, president of the tugboat local.
